MAODA
Editorial Design for the "Casa Andina" Collection

The Project & Context MAODA commissioned the development of a comprehensive editorial system for a publication series showcasing prominent architectural projects across Ecuador. This inaugural edition features the work of Espinoza Carvajal Arquitectos, setting the visual standard for future volumes in the collection.

Editorial Strategy & Layout The design was engineered to facilitate a fluid narrative that highlights the complete architectural process. The layout seamlessly integrates early-stage concepts and sketches with technical floor plans, scale models, and high-fidelity photography of the final structures.

Technical Execution & Finish The 17.5 x 25 cm volume was designed for a tactile and ergonomic experience. It features generous margins and classic proportions based on a 4-column grid system, allowing for dynamic content adaptation. The production value is elevated by a softcover bound with an acetate overwrap, featuring a black-ink isometric technical drawing. This choice of materials grants the publication a sophisticated, technical character that aligns with the architectural subject matter.
